Bushveld, Grasslands, Wetlands and Coastal Forest are the four distinct ecosystems that provide visitors with the unique opportunity of viewing animals as diverse as giraffe and blue duiker, herds of plain game such as zebra, wildebeest, eland, shy mountain reedbuck, and the elusive bushbuck in close proximity.
Entering the majestic Oribi Gorge through the towering cliffs of Hells Gate, birders are likely to see Narina Trogan, Starred Robin, Knysna Wood Peckers and Crowned Eagle to name but a few of the over 200 species identified to date. While on the grasslands, sightings of Ground Hornbill, Secretary Bird and Martial Eagle are common occurrences.
